Nancy McCrohan
About
As a leader, Dr. McCrohan excels at designing projects that maximize rigor, feasibility, and utility.
She brings expertise in food systems, public health, community development, and workforce development. She is adept in program evaluation, research methods and integrity, data management, and qualitative and statistical analysis and interpretation.
Dr. McCrohan has provided project management, technical support, data analysis, and reporting on a variety of health, place, and workforce issues during her career. She has designed and managed numerous research and evaluation projects at PPA.

Education
Dr. McCrohan’s doctoral training was from the ecological-community psychology program at MSU, which is focused on applying rigorous methodology, community-based participatory research, and contextual knowledge, to solving persistent social problems.
Also notable
Dr. McCrohan previously served on the board of the Michigan Association for Evaluation, and was their 2014 service award recipient. Currently, she is a board director of the Lansing Urban Farm Project.
In prior work at the Michigan Public Health Institute, she was directly responsible for establishing the Quality Assurance Office, the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and the Survey Research Unit.
