Calandra Reichel
About
Ms. Reichel is a skilled coordinator, researcher, and facilitator with strong experience in qualitative data collection and analysis, survey design, and reporting. Her areas of interest include program evaluation and development, creating equitable systems change, the criminal and juvenile justice systems, and the impact of policy on outcomes for diverse populations. She prioritizes utilizing culturally responsive and equitable approaches in her work.
Ms. Reichel has played various research roles during her time at PPA. These roles have involved mixed-methods data collection and analysis, research and instrument design, and reporting for projects in areas such as education, child care, workforce development, housing, food systems, and criminal justice.
Before joining PPA, Ms. Reichel facilitated collaborative monitoring and evaluation activities with nonprofit organizations in her internship roles at Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center and Child and Family Charities. Her work included designing and implementing surveys, logic models, and data-collection protocols. She contributed to community-based research examining health equity, with her work including qualitative data management and analysis. Ms. Reichel also was an assistant with Michigan State University’s Adolescent Diversion Program (ADP) where she instructed undergraduate students working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system and managed student reporting systems. She obtained her Michigan master’s-level macro social work license in 2025.

Education
Ms. Reichel earned her master’s degree in social work with an organizational and community leadership concentration from Michigan State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work, with a minor in youth and society, from Michigan State University. Ms. Reichel also completed a graduate certificate in program evaluation at Michigan State University.
