Public Policy Associates is launching two new projects to help leaders in Lansing, MI and Boulder County, CO reduce homelessness and better support those experiencing homelessness. PPA is partnering with CityWise, a consulting firm that focuses on homeless services, on both projects.

In both projects PPA will be responsible for community engagement and CityWise will be conducting analysis of existing data. PPA and CityWise will collaboratively develop findings and actionable recommendations.

For the City of Lansing, PPA’s activities include roundtables with homelessness service providers as well as focus groups and surveys of people who have experienced homelessness. Findings will be presented at a community meeting with an opportunity for community members to provide input on actionable recommendations.

For Homeless Solutions for Boulder County, PPA will facilitate focus groups with people who have experienced homelessness, roundtable discussions with service providers and partners, and small group interviews with members of Homeless Solutions for Boulder County.

PPA has worked extensively on homelessness and housing projects for more than a decade, including several for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. More information on this previous work is available at publicpolicy.com. PPA and CityWise previously partnered on a project to address homelessness in Pasadena, CA. CityWise is led by Anna Jacobsen, whose work in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors spans homeless services, education, and public health.
