Reflecting on the significance of the MPC, Rob Fowler shared:

“The Mackinac Policy Conference is a unique venue that brings together voices you simply don’t find in the same room anywhere else. Having attended 23 of these events, I am always struck by the island’s ability to foster collaboration. It’s where the most important conversations begin.”

While the daytime sessions are filled with formal policy debate and discussion, PPA prides itself on creating space for deeper, more personal connections. For the last three years, we have hosted a reception at the Mission Point Resort. Billed as a Nightcap event, it offers our clients, partners, and longtime friends a relaxed atmosphere for processing the day’s ideas.

Dr. Dan Quinn, PPA’s Chief Strategy Officer, explains why PPA’s event during the conference remains vital:

“The Nightcap at Mission Point is a cornerstone for us. Policy work is ultimately about people and relationships. By providing a relaxed environment away from the main stage, we give our partners and friends a place to engage in the kind of candid, thoughtful discussion that leads to real solutions. It’s about building the trust necessary to create a better world.”
