The Michigan Community College Association (MCCA) recently announced the launch of a new website that makes resources available to inform and advocate for dual enrollment expansion in Michigan. The Dual Enrollment Resources Website is a powerful new tool to support collective advocacy through research, data, and storytelling.

MCCA’s website provides timely, local-level data, including tuition and fee expenditures by legislative district, dual enrollment participation trends, and policy recommendations to expand access.

Public Policy Associates (PPA) has supported MCCA with research into its advocacy efforts. In fall 2024, PPA produced a report outlining stakeholder recommendations for increased access to dual enrollment opportunities across Michigan, breaking down barriers limiting local school districts’ enrollment.

Dan Quinn, PPA’s Chief Strategy Officer, and a former high school teacher, says, “Dual enrollment isn’t just an academic advantage; it’s a strategic accelerant to meet Michigan’s Sixty by 30 goal. By giving high school students a head start on earning college credits and developing career pathways, we’re building a more skilled workforce earlier, making higher education more accessible and affordable, and ensuring our state’s prosperity for decades.”
