Asking for the Insights of Educators, Parents, and Community Leaders on COVID-19 Response and Planning

July 9, 2020

Public Policy Associates (PPA) would like to invite Michigan 9th-12th grade school leaders and teachers, Kindergarten-12th grade parents, and community leaders to answer a few questions about how school districts are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.  This is a challenging time for all communities and, while we know you have many important priorities right now, we hope you will consider adding your voice.

This information will help policymakers at the state and national levels understand the experiences and perspectives of educators, parents, and community leaders throughout these difficult circumstances.  This includes the approaches of schools to distance learning and how they are preparing to plan for instruction in the fall.  This survey, and your contribution, will help make a difference.

PPA, in collaboration with the Education Policy Innovation Center (EPIC) at Michigan State University, is conducting three surveys for Launch Michigan.  Launch Michigan is a partnership of business, education, labor, philanthropy, and civic leaders, as well as parents, all of whom care deeply about education and Michigan’s collective future.

You can take one of these important surveys by simply clicking on the link that best suits your unique perspective.  Each survey is intended to take no more than 15 minutes. Please only respond to one survey.

  • 9th-12th grade teachers
  • 9th-12th grade principals/school leaders
  • Parents of K-12 students and community leaders

If you have questions about the surveys, please email them to Daniel Quinn, PPA’s Director for Education Policy, at dquinn@publicpolicy.com.

Thank you for making your voice heard.
