Lyz Chery

Ms. Chery is a public health researcher and data analyst with experience supporting large-scale research, evaluation, and data quality efforts. Her work has focused on managing, analyzing, and translating complex quantitative and qualitative data to inform policy, improve programs, and support evidence-based decision making. She has collaborated with federal agencies, research teams, and technical assistance providers to produce data products, reports, and visualizations for diverse audiences.

Previously, she supported national child welfare data systems, including large administrative datasets submitted by states, tribes, and territories, contributing to data quality assurance, statistical analyses, and public-facing data products. She also led and supported mixed-methods evaluations, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and quasi-experimental studies, examining topics such as financial capability, service delivery, and organizational effectiveness.

She holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, with a concentration in Global Health and a certificate in Maternal and Child Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University.
