Dr. Nathan A. Burroughs has joined Public Policy Associates, Inc. as a senior research associate, PPA officials announced.
“Nathan brings a great quantitative data analysis skill set that will enhance our research and add value for our clients,” said David McConnell, PPA’s vice president for research operations. “He also has a knack for translating research into actionable policy.”
Dr. Burroughs will join PPA research teams conducting independent evaluations of workforce development projects supported by the federal Workforce Innovation Fund. WIF promotes evidence-based strategies for creating talent pools to meet local employers’ needs. PPA is evaluating several WIF projects across the country.
Most recently, Dr. Burroughs was a research assistant professor at CREATE for STEM, a Michigan State University-sponsored research institute working to improve teaching and learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Dr. Burroughs earned his Ph.D. in political science as well as a master of public administration degree from the University of Georgia. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of West Georgia.
