Evaluated efforts to help workforce center customers increase financial success.
The Virginia Community College System (VCCS) was awarded a Workforce Innovation Fund grant by the U.S. Department of Labor to implement the Working Families Success Network model at Virginia Workforce Centers in six regions of the state. Virginia’s program, retitled the Virginia Financial Success Network, sought to help customers of the centers increase their earnings and income, reduce their financial transaction costs, and build assets. The program included one-on-one financial coaching, education and employment services, and income supports. PPA’s evaluation included an implementation study, a randomized controlled trial, and cost analysis. PPA published a Virginia Financial Success Network evaluation report annually for the duration of the evaluation.
