Partnered with Willamette Workforce Partnership and other workforce areas to evaluate an innovative workshop series to assist job seekers with the emotional challenges of unemployment.
Willamette Workforce Partnership (formerly Incite, Inc.), a nonprofit corporation representing the Local Workforce Board for the Salem, Oregon region, received a five-year Workforce Innovation Fund grant to support its Rethinking Job Search program. The program, offered in 10 WorkSource centers across Oregon, used a job-driven delivery model, including an educational intervention that integrated cognitive behavioral techniques addressing emotional and social consequences of long-term unemployment. The evaluation included a quasi-experimental design to measure outcomes, implementation study, and cost analysis.
