Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program Evaluations

Clients: Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Policy Areas: Criminal and Juvenile Justice.

The federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) Title II Formula Grants program supports a continuum of juvenile justice and delinquency prevention efforts in Michigan, including truancy reduction, substance abuse treatment, gender-responsive programming, and enhanced use of data to inform system improvements.  The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the state agency responsible for administering Title II grant funds, retained PPA to provide technical assistance and evaluation support for the organizations receiving Title II grant funding from DHHS.  PPA worked with grantee organizations to develop evaluation plans, collect and analyze performance data, address technical assistance needs, and report implementation progress and outcomes.
