Dr. Paul Elam and Public Policy Associates, Inc. are featured in the first issue of Advancing Collaborative Evaluation (ACE) Network News.
The Annie E. Casey Foundation is a private philanthropy that makes grants to help federal agencies, states, counties, and cities address work to improve the lives of America’s children and families. The Foundation has worked to better the lives of children at risk of poor education, economic, social, and health outcomes. The Foundation’s efforts have led to more informed policies and practices in the areas of juvenile justice, child welfare, economic opportunity, education, and more.
Advancing Collaborative Evaluation will be shared with members of the ACE Network. This is a network of highly experienced evaluation experts from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups. They are evaluation experts that are available to pursue evaluation work in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. Each issue will highlight an evaluator to illustrate timely and relevant examples of the impact the network is having. All newsletters will feature news and updates about upcoming events.
Dr. Elam is featured in the first edition of the newsletter. Dr. Elam was highlighted because he brings diversity, inclusion, and equity to his public policy work. His expertise in corrections, child welfare, and justice issues have contributed to building a relationship with the Foundation. Dr. Elam has worked with the Annie E. Casey Foundation program officers in the area of juvenile justice. He has also become a mentor in Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Leaders in Evaluation and Diversity program. “I am excited about the partnership and look forward to collaborating with the Foundation as the work unfolds,” said Dr. Elam.
