Two Public Policy Associates, Inc. (PPA) researchers have taken on leadership roles in enhancing education research and practice.
Dr. Daniel J. Quinn was named to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Mid-Western Educational Research Association. He has been serving on the board since 2017. MWERA is a regional association affiliated with the American Educational Research Association.
Dr. Nathan A. Burroughs was elected to the Lansing Board of Education in the November election. He was previously selected by the board to fill a vacancy. His research expertise includes educational inequality, curriculum reform, and teacher effectiveness—each of which will be major priorities during his tenure on the school board.
“Dan and Nathan are leading experts in education, and it is rewarding to see them contributing to the advancement of research and to its practical application for the benefit of students,” said PPA President Colleen E. Graber.
